Dermaplaning removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells and vellus hair (fine facial hair) using a sterile surgical blade. The result: immediately smoother texture, brighter tone, and significantly improved absorption of the serums and moisturizers applied after.
The hair question, answered with science: Vellus hair — the fine, soft hair on your face — is not the same as terminal hair. Cutting it does not change the follicle structure or the hair type. It will not grow back thicker, darker, or coarser. This is physiology, not a marketing claim.
What to expect
- The blade is opened in front of you from a sterile sealed package
- One-use only, disposed of directly into a sharps container after your service
- Skin may appear slightly flushed for 1 to 2 hours. This resolves on its own.
